@reshmi

If your prob is qunatitative then thats means you are on safe side.

1) Spend 3-4 [but not more than 5] Hours on quantitaive for next 2 weeks.

2) Get Kalplan maths workbook - to mae ur basic strong and wrap it up in one week.

3) Then start with Barrons 17th edi
4) with Barrons try solving few Big books GREs but after 10th test ones.

let me know if u hav any further query.

@nag

okz nag lets make schedule for ur test

as we have 4 weeks and one week for reviosion and I assuming you are free these days.

1) Make atleast 50 words/day
2) Start with Kaplan maths workbook [wrap it up in one week max]
3) After doign with 300-500 words start with RCs and SC and keep doing vouc side-by-side.

4) YOur target for Vocub must be 800+ for Next 2 weeks atleast.

5) After doing up with kaplan workbook - you shooot for princeton review as it has quality maths till the end of 4th week

I'vemanaged to finish around 1500 words (perfectly).. i.e 900 words from ETS flash book which i got from USA, 700 words from princeton review material n around 400 from barrons.. unfortunately i couldnt finish barrons master word list coz of time limit.. So am i on to the safer side?? else would you suggest me to prep much better n postpone my GRE.. anyways i'm not concerned about applying for 2009 fall..i've still one yr time.. but i wanna finish off my GRE as soon as possible..what you suggest me??

hi..
i have my gre exam on the 16th oct 08, so on an average 3 weeks left. as of now, i m over with barrons word list once but i keep forgetting the words which i am sure with practice can be taken care of. quants also i have completed once from barrons and parts from nova. yesterday i took my first gre powerprep and got 750 quants and 390 in verbal. my first question in verbal of sentence completion only went wrong and i had only 4/10 correct in R.C.. also 1 very important thing, in verbal i am never left with time to read the third R.C., so i always just mark the answers without reading and move forward.

so in all my basic problem is that i need to develop skills for SC and RC. plz help me with this considering the time frame i have now
thank u in advance
god bless

@farheen [From our course]

okz farheen it's good that u r targeting 1500+ as people usually dont target that much thus they don't get that much

1) Try to revise words thtough the software that I have uploaded in verbal- They'll surely help u.

2) Set targets for revising words [revision of 250 words/day]

3) Try barrons for quantative and try kaplan work book for verbal.

try to give [2 hours to quantitaive and 3 hours to verbal on the day when u r free]

do let me knwo for further queries

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@sagar

okz gr8 that you are done with Barrons word list means you should get 700+ now on verbal.

In these last days try this:

1) One CBT test reguarly with proper analysis of wrong ans.

2) Keep revising words but divide the revision thing in days [i.e. 250 words per day].

3) Dont try to remember any more words from now.

4) 2-3 hours to quantitative and 3 hours to Verbal [specailly practive SC and RC]

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@rahul

Rahul man.. if you are not in hurry then wrap up your word list.

No one is on safer side even if you are done with 3500 words.

- I ll recommend you Try to wrap up Barrons word list if you want to secure good score in first attempt.

- otherwise have a try else you dont have any time issue so you can retry in better way next time.

But U can expect 1200 with the details you provided me.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@nidhi

thans for your blesses...:)

Secondly, I know people need to know RCs and SCs techniques.

I am writing them and most probably I ll upload them by tomorrow.

Plan for u

1) Try to do One CBT/day
2) Download the verbal software that I have uploaded to revise the words.

3) give 1 hours atleast to revision of words.

4) keep doing quatitative atleast side-by-side. [1 hours atleast]

5) Specailly for u: Try to focus on practice of RC and SC as much as u can and do analyse you got wrong.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@nikhita

working woman.... I know it will be tough for u

Plan for u:

1) 200 words/week [atleast]

2) Quantitative [6-8 hours/week (atleast)]

3) Verbal :
- Pratice RCs and SC after doing 400 words
- after 800 words switch to analogies and antonyms.

do contact me if you any query

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@shkr

i guess it is not in today's topic. Kindly re upload it.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@neha

of course u cant do verbal without good vocub.

1) Make vocub as much as u can, u still have one month

2) if u hav nothing to do except GRE then shoot for 50 words/day, by test day u ll hav 1200 words in this way.

3) You can get 500 score with 1200 words easily.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@avk

flash cards are the best for this.

though take time but words are more retain able in this way.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@nikhita

I recommend Kaplan for verbal and Barrons for Quantitative.

though some urges for Barrons so it varies from person to person.

@sravani

Kindly re-upload.

I hope u didnt mind of it... :)

but try to understand my side of problem as well... :)

@vaurn

manu hav around 2 months and ready to give 8 hours/day

Man expect 1400+ with this much time if you follow a plan.

lets make it for u:

1) 60/words day [wtih proper flash cards, takes around 90-120 mins]

2) Quantitative
- start with kaplan maths workbook [wrap it in 10 days]
- then start with Big Book [1 quantitative test daily]
- with Big Book, keep solving barrons parallely

so overall for quantitative will take around 3-4 (max hours/day)

rest of the time, focus on RCs and SC.. practice as much a u can.

do contact me for further info.

@rahul

green signal from myside.

go ahead bros but let me know about your score.

Best of luck.

Ravendar Bhojwani said...

@rashmi

I can feel the nerve of yours as 3 days are remaining.

Okz

Give atleast 8 hours

- dont try anything new
- try to do as many CBTs u can do and most importantly analyze your wrong ans.
- Revise your words as much as u can.
- Dont do much study on last day - give yourself rest on that day.
